Monferrato is known all over the world for its excellent wines, like Barbera d’Asti and Grignolino, as well as for its white truffle. This land has in fact been famous for its Moncalvo white truffle, which was very well known in most important European courts, for the past 500 years.

There are more than 100 wine-producing companies in the area but the best wines produced are Barbera d’Asti, Barbera del Monferrato, Freisa d’Asti and Grignolino d’Asti.
